Our Top Reasons to Visit Naples, Florida

Whether you’re planning your next vacation or looking to spend a few months in the warm weather of the Sunshine State, Naples has something for everyone. Naples combines luxury with natural beauty so you can spend your stay either exploring or relaxing–or a combination of the two! The beautiful beaches, luxury resorts and outdoor adventures are just a few of the amazing reasons to visit Naples, Florida. Here are some of the best reasons to visit!

Culture

Naples is located right on the Gulf Coast, at the edge of the Everglades and it has become the perfect combination of glamorous luxury and protected natural beauty. Known for its small-town feel mixed with nationally renowned restaurants, shopping and resorts, Naples exudes laid back island cool, with a generous portion of glitz and glam! Resort lovers, beach bums, outdoor adventurers, families and everyone else will find the best of the best in Naples.

Naples does the Sunshine State proud with 280 average days of sunshine a year, perfect for golfing, swimming and relaxing outside. It is known to be a seasonal destination and the most popular times to go are December through March. Friendly locals stay all year, though, and the beaches are just as stunning in the off season (and even less crowded!) making it a great place to visit anytime.

Beaches

Naples’ pristine beaches are the jewel of Florida’s Gulf Coast. Accessible, protected, and full of natural beauty, these beaches are the best reason to visit Naples. Our top choice is Delnor Wiggins State Park for secluded, well cared for beaches. There are a few beaches in the park, so leave time to explore and check out the wildlife and natural landscape as well!

Barefoot Beach Preserve County Park also offers pristine white sand beaches and a nature preserve. Watch out for native gopher tortoises and nesting turtles in the sand! And for an absolutely stunning experience, head to Seagate Beach in the beautiful Park Shore neighborhood at sunset. Locals and visitors alike gather for the stunning sunset over the water, unique to Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Restaurants

Naples restaurant scene has it all. Vibrant flavors, delicious seafood, local and celebrity chefs—you will want to extend your stay just to taste them all! There are so many culinary experiences you won’t want to miss, so here are the best ones!

For luxury at its finest, have dinner at one of Naples’ four- and five-star resorts. The Grill Naples’ Ritz-Carlton offers a culinary experience like no other with fine steaks and rich foie gras. They are famous for their soufflés and their glamorous dining atmosphere. 1500 South at Naples Bay Resort is another great destination for Italian-inspired seafood. It was founded by celebrity chef Art Smith (former private chef to stars like Oprah and Michelle Obama) and is now run by gourmet chef William Conroy.

For a night out after a long day of swimming or sightseeing, head to local favorite Sea Salt for seafood with a twist! Chef Aielli knows his salt and sends a trio of elaborate salts with bread service to every table, and uses 100-plus varieties in the Italian-inspired menu. Another favorite is Truluck’s Seafood, Steak and Crabhouse, located right on 4th Avenue and perfect for a relaxing meal after a day of shopping in the glamorous boutiques of 4th and 5th Avenues.
